About Joanna Cain, BSN, BA, RN

Ms. Joanna E. Cain, Founder and President of Auctorial Pursuits, LLC, is a professional communications expert with extensive experience assisting others in identifying and reaching their target audience.

Ms. Cain’s career began in corporate America where she acquired experience in public relations, marketing, branding, product launching, event coordination, market research, fundraising, and sales. After working for several years in this industry, she decided to pursue her passion of helping others by becoming a registered nurse, during which time she held clinical positions (with hospice nursing being the most rewarding) and served as a nursing instructor. Various companies began seeking Ms. Cain’s expertise as a writer, editor, and educator to assist them in the development of educational products for healthcare students and professionals. It is this experience and Ms. Cain’s passion for communicating with and educating others that led to the conception of Auctorial Pursuits, LLC.

Ms. Cain earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from Emory University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Baylor University, and a certificate in Legal Nurse Consulting (LNC) from Kaplan University. She has also completed graduate level courses in nursing education from Duke University, as well as technical writing, business leadership, and communications courses.

A passionate advocate for the use of manners and etiquette in today’s society, Ms. Cain received certification as a business and social etiquette and protocol consultant from The Etiquette Institute and the International Association of Professions (IAP) Career College. She is a member of the International Association of Professional Etiquette Consultants (IAPO). Ms. Cain offers business and social etiquette and protocol services to educational institutions, businesses, and individuals.

To balance work with play, Ms. Cain has competed in several international athletic competitions, including the Hawaii Ironman World Championships, Maui Channel Swim (solo), Lake Travis Relay Swim (solo), and English Channel crossing (solo).
